Terms of Service
Preliminary version — these terms will be finalized before public launch.
1. What SkillDuel is
SkillDuel is a platform for head-to-head games of skill. Outcomes are determined solely by player performance in the selected game, computed server-side. SkillDuel offers free-to-play duels using virtual coins with no monetary value, and — where available and lawful — skill duels with USDC stakes.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to use staked features. You are responsible for ensuring that participating in skill-based competitions for money is lawful where you live. Staked play may be unavailable in your region.
3. Fair play
Bots, automation, multi-accounting, collusion, and any form of assistance during a match are prohibited and lead to forfeiture of stakes and account bans. Matches are monitored for integrity.
4. Stakes, fees and payouts
Staked duels require both players to deposit the agreed stake into a smart-contract escrow before play begins. The winner receives the pot minus the platform fee (currently 5%). Draws and cancelled matches are refunded. Free-duel coins have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn or exchanged.
5. Responsible play
Daily stake limits apply to USDC play and can be lowered at any time in your settings. If playing stops being fun, take a break. Support resources are listed on the Responsible Play section of this page.
6. No warranty & liability
The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, SkillDuel is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or losses resulting from network, wallet, or blockchain failures outside our control.
7. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
